Behind the Work
This foundation wasn’t built in theory.
It was built in real time—through appointments, paperwork, delays, and the weight families carry trying to hold everything together.
Each person here brings a different lens—professional, personal, or both—but we are aligned in one thing:
👉 making systems make sense for the families who need them most.
Board Of Directors
Responsible for the governance, oversight, and long-term direction of the foundation. The Board ensures the organization remains aligned with its mission, operates with integrity, and continues to grow sustainably.

Joyce Rose
Founder | Executive Director
Systems Design & Lived Experience Integration
Joyce is the Founder and Executive Director of The Hayden Rose Foundation, which she built while raising her neurodivergent son after experiencing firsthand how fragmented and overwhelming support systems can be.
She now develops structured tools that help families of neurodivergent children move from confusion to clarity. With a background in membership programming, she brings a systems-based approach to engagement, retention, and service design—translating complex systems into practical, usable frameworks.
She is also the Creative Director of The Black Rose Productions and a published author, leading storytelling and content rooted in themes of healing, identity, and lived experience—work deeply informed by her life as a wife and mother.

Systems & Family Dynamics
Amber Colbert holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from San José State University and brings over 15 years of experience as a Sociology Professor. She currently teaches at Palomar College, where she connects social systems, family dynamics, and real-world application.
As both an academic and a mother of a child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at age three, Amber offers a dual lens of professional insight and lived experience. Her perspective helps bridge the gap between complex systems and the families navigating them.

Applied Support & Skill Building
Mary is an Advanced Behavior Technician with seven years of experience supporting children in both school and home settings. For the past 1.5 years, she has specialized in working with children with special needs, focusing on skill development and behavioral support.
Her background began in the juvenile justice system, where she developed an early understanding of behavioral patterns and intervention. She has since transitioned her work toward child development and education, bringing a grounded, real-world perspective to her role.
Mary supports the foundation by helping families better understand ABA therapy, breaking down key components that shape behavior, communication, and long-term progress in care.
